Who We Are
I was born and raised in Atlanta. I attended Roswell High School, Georgia Tech, and graduated from The University of Georgia with a BBA in Marketing. After college, I worked with DAP, Inc., managing The Home Depot account. During this time, I sold DAP caulk and drywall repair products, Zinsser Primers, and the Bondo line. After a successful tenure at DAP, I began working with Sherwin-Williams. While with Sherwin-Williams, my experience included store manager, and eventually, sales representative. As a sales representative, I worked with paint and drywall contractors of all sizes and specializations. My customers included the largest residential repaint company in Atlanta, as well as the one of the largest commercial drywall contractors in the country.
As a Sherwin-Williams Sales Representative, I saw contractors involved in all facets of the construction industry. I saw numerous well-run companies. I also saw a growing concern for our environment and the quality of the air which we breathe. What I did not see however, were any contractors who were committed to making the changes necessary to become a “Green” painting contractor.
After months of research and planning, I hand-picked some of the best project managers in Atlanta, and began GreenWave Solutions. My project managers have been taught about LEED certified paints with the same materials that Sherwin-Williams uses. We are developing innovations for our crews to wash their materials in self-contained water filtration systems, thus eliminating the practice of putting waste water down drains or in yards. We are also exploring methods of recycling empty paint cans, used plastic dropcloths, and used construction paper.
So let’s do this Atlanta. We’ll LEED the way!
