GreenWave Solutions is going to be Atlanta’s First “Green” Concrete Restoration Expert.  Moving into concrete restoration in Atlanta is a natural progression for a company like GreenWave Solutions.  When you are an Atlanta paint contractor, you inevitably run into to a myriad of associated repair work.  One of the few things that most Atlanta paint contractors cannot do is high-quality Atlanta concrete restoration and Atlanta concrete repair.

Several factors have influenced us to add Metro Atlanta concrete restoration and Metro Atlanta concrete repair to our product mix.  The first is the stagnant economy.

The Recession

Money is scarce.  Re-pouring and replacing concrete and other cementitious structures is very expensive.  Everything associated with it is very costly including, materials, labor, and machine use.  Repairing and restoring existing concrete is an effective and efficient way of extending the lives of existing structures.

Atlanta Concrete Restoration

GreenWave Solutions is currently training with representatives of the Florida-based Adhesives Technology Corp. Adhesives Technology is a manufacturer of concrete solutions for concrete applications.  This includes adhesive anchoring systems, adhesives and bonding agents, concrete repair, concrete restoration, cementitious products, non-explosive demolition agents, and dispensing tools and accessories.  The sealants, waterproofers, and adhesives manufactured by Adhesives Technology corp. are predominantly multi-part epoxies and polyureas.  These products are designed to meet the highest industry specifications and provide unparalleled performance.

Recently, Adhesives Technology has submitted several of their products to the USGBC to get the products GS-36 certified.  GS-36, or Green Seal – 36, is the category that defines LEED Certified adhesives and sealants.  In LEED – NC version 2.2, adhesives and sealants are credited under EQc4.1:  Low-Emitting Materials – Adhesives and Sealants.  From the literature I read, Adhesive Technology’s “Green” products meet LEED standards in two ways:  they are VOC-compliant and they are manufactured using 5% post-consumer recycled materials.  This can earn LEED credits in two different sections.  The first is mentioned above.  The second is Materials and Resources credit 4.1 & 4.2:  Recycled Content (MRc4.1 & MRc4.2).

Since these products will carry the GS-36 certification, GreenWave Solutions can offer environmentally-friendly Atlanta concrete restoration and eco-friendly Atlanta concrete repair.  We are the first company that will offer Atlanta concrete restoration, exclusively “green.”

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Another benefit to Atlanta concrete restoration and Atlanta concrete repair is reducing the needs for raw materials in making more concrete.  Several raw materials are needed to manufacturer concrete.  Some include portland cement, fly ash, sand, and slag.  By repairing and restoring existing concrete, we lower demands for these raw materials, thus lessening the need to damage habitats and eco-systems.

Earn more LEED Credits with One Product?!?!

Not only is Atlanta concrete restoration less expensive, more efficient, and more environmentally friendly than concrete replacement, it can also earn more LEED credits.  For major renovations, LEED offers credits for building reuse.  By using GreenWave Solutions to do your concrete restoration in Atlanta, you can earn LEED credits Materials and Resources credits 1.1 & 1.2 (MRc1.1 & MRc1.2).  These credits address building reuse and maintaining 75% and 95% of existing walls, floors, and roof, respectively.

What’s Next?
