On December 13th, 2008, I took and passed the LEED New Construction version 2.2 accreditation exam. I now own the certification of a LEED Accredited Professional. Now, GreenWave Solutions is the first green contractor in Atlanta who is LEED certified. This accreditation is globally recognized as THE standard in green construction, sustainable building, and environmental awareness.
What can a LEED AP do?
- GreenWave Solutions’ LEED APs can consult developers that want to pursue LEED Certification for their projects.
- A LEED AP can work to pursue any LEED Certification for any LEED track (i.e. new commercial construction, new homes, major renovations, commercial interiors, homes, etc).
- We can work with project teams to identify, advise, and implement strategies to earn any and all applicable LEED points.
- We can register projects with the U.S. Green Building Council.
- We can access the proper documents, templates, and necessary information on the U.S. Green Building Council’s database.
- We perform cost/benefit analysis’ of LEED strategies to optimize the efficiency of the LEED Certification process.
- We can optimize a building’s overall performance and lowering energy costs, water costs, maintenance costs, and occupant comfort.
- We earn all projects 1 point under Innovation and Design credit 1.2 – LEED AP simply by being involved on the project.
